Le Rogazioni

The spring equinox will celebrate "the Rogation": a long procession praying, accompanied by the brotherhood of Sant’Antonio e Rocco, which brings the holy water in the countryside till the village gates to preserve people, animal and farms from storms.
At the same time the community also prays for the preservation of the land by drought. The contours of ceremony belong to the archaic religious and shares with the feast of St. Anthony of Porchettu (little pig), the strong link with the land.
On this occasion are the animals to travel in the ancient church of the convent to have a blessing. In the past it was not uncommon to see cows and pigs trample on the holy ground of the Church of St. Anthony, at the village gate. Now the flow is reduced to smaller goats and sheep, as well as all kinds of pet.
